Turkish Delights
It all started from a tiny decant of Hacivat. The moment I sprayed it on, there was an instant connection. It was like a perfectly tailored outfit that I never wanted to take off. Since then, I soon discovered the incredible stories behind their creations.
Founded by Mert Güzel and Murat Katran in 2012, Nishane draws inspiration from their own culture and traditions giving birth to each of their perfumes. Hacivat, one of their most talked about fragrance is invigorating and lively represented in the characters from the traditional Turkish shadow play. It opens with an amalgamation of freshness from the bergamot, pineapple, and grapefruit notes that you simply can’t ignore. It is so sumptuous and bright yet it has depth that comes from the oak moss, patchouli and cedarwood notes. If anything, this is one that you can wear as a signature scent all year round and still stand out.
Speaking of standing out, Nishane released one of the most unique vanilla based perfumes in 2019. Created by perfumer Cecile Zarokian, Ani is a tribute to the majestic empire that once stood. Symbolising the strength of the city that was so full of life and energy, Ani opens up with green notes, ginger and pink pepper that creates that unexpected zing. After a while, the main star of the show is what will captivate you. Sweet, rich, and decadent vanilla blooms with the warmth of your skin. If you’re looking beyond the run-of-the-mill vanilla perfume, look no further. Ani is truly a masterpiece.
Now for those dark and boozy lovers out there, Fan Your Flames might just re-ignite your senses once again. It conjures the experience of smoking shisha with your loved ones and it really lives up to its name. You get booze, you get smoke, but you also get a wonderful dose of coconut wrapped around your burning desires. Fan Your Flames is one powerful fragrance that will definitely make a bold statement.
I could sit here all day and talk about the rest of the collection but what better way, than to experience them for yourself! I promise, you’re in for a treat.
