BDK Parfums reimagines one of its signature creations with Velvet Tonka Extrait, a richer and more textured interpretation of the original Velvet Tonka Eau de Parfum.

Concentrated at 30%, the Extrait brings together two worlds that have long shaped David Benedek’s creative universe: the warmth and artisanal spirit of Morocco, and the contemporary energy of Paris.

At its heart, tonka bean takes centre stage. Its warm, almond-like character is amplified by a distinctive roasted pistachio accord, adding a lightly salted, addictive gourmand facet inspired by the caramelised delicacies of Moroccan pastries. Orange blossom brings brightness, while vanilla and tobacco deepen the composition.

The defining contrast comes from Saffiano leather. Dark, textured and refined, it introduces a deeper dimension to the fragrance, balancing the indulgence of the gourmand notes with a distinctly urban edge. The result is a fragrance that feels warm and sensual, yet structured and contemporary.

A More Intense Interpretation

Created by perfumer Alexandra Carlin, Velvet Tonka Extrait builds on the DNA of the original while taking its signature gourmand character further. The familiar almond-inspired facet is joined by roasted pistachio, creating a new expression that is denser, more tactile and more assertive.
